“Phra That Thong” (The original name of Ban Tad Thong) was initially known as a car repair street in the 1910s before it was renamed and developed into today’s infamous street of Ban Tad Thong. In the past, people perceived Ban Tad Thong as solely a two-sided street packed with car repair shops. Fortunately, there were still a few locally popular restaurants in the area, bringing some lives to the street: Jok Samyan, Jae Ow, and Jae Wan. But, when the pandemic hit, the streets turned dead silent. However, this wasn’t until Lisa from Black Pink came and visited “Jae Wan '' a locally well-known Chinese soy milk shop. Thanks to the massive influence of Lisa from Black Pink, this incident sparked a trend, improving the reputation of this once-lonely district. As more and more people began visiting the street, this incentivized many other restaurants to open along the street; gradually becoming the Ban Tad Thong Street we know today.
